Four Seasons of Hummus



Difficulty Level: easy

Cooking Time: 2 minutes

Ingredients:

Pumpkin Hummus 
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree (canned or you can roast freah pumpkin in the oven for an hour)
  • 500 g (1 can) Chickpeas (Garbanzo beans) if canned rinse them very well & if not canned cook them in boiled water until they get tender
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp tahini (sesame paste), add more if needed
  • 1/4 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp chili powder optional
Avocado Hummus
  • 1 big / 2 medium avocados ripe
  • 500 g (1 can) Chickpeas (Garbanzo beans) if canned rinse them very well & if not canned cook them in boiled water until they get tender
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp tahini (sesame paste)
  • 1/4 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp paprika optional
Beetroot Hummus
  • 2 medium beetroots cooked (boil them in hot water until they get tender)
  • 500 g (1 can) Chickpeas (Garbanzo beans) if canned rinse them very well & if not canned cook them in boiled water until they get tender
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp tahini (sesame paste), add more if needed
  • 1/4 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup water if needed to thin the mixture
Classic Chickpea Hummus
  • 500 g (1 can) Chickpeas (Garbanzo beans) if canned rinse them very well & if not canned cook them in boiled water until they get tender
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 Tbsp tahini (sesame paste)
  • 1/4 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 Tbsp water add more if needed

Directions:

Pumpkin Hummus
In a food processor, blend all ingredients until they're smooth. Keep blending until it reaches to the desired consistency. Top it with sunflower seeds, chopped parsley & cinnamon
 
Avocado Hummus
In a food processor, blend all ingredients until they're smooth. Keep blending until it reaches to the desired consistency. Top it with pine nuts & chopped cilantro
 
Beetroot Hummus
In a food processor, blend all ingredients until they're smooth. If needed, add water to the hummus mixture and keep blending until it reaches to the desired consistency. Top it with chopped walnuts & dill
 
Classic Chickpea Hummus
In a food processor, blend all ingredients until they're smooth. If needed, add water to the hummus mixture and keep blending until it reaches to the desired consistency. Top it with olive oil, lemon juice & red pepper flakes
 

Serving suggestion:

Serve next to chips, veggies, naan or baked pita bread.
