Francisco Santos Jara-Padron

Francisco recently moved from Bangkok where he was the post-crises and conflict recovery regional advisor for all of Asia and the Pacific at the UNDP regional hub, concentrating on countries such as Pakistan, Bangladesh, and North Korea to cite a few. Francisco has more than 20 years of experience in both humanitarian and development context programs and has worked for different UN agencies such as UNRWA and UNICEF.

Leana Islam

Leana Islam is the Emergency Youth Officer at UNFPA in Jordan, where she has worked with Syrian refugee youth in camps and host communities since September 2014, building programmes around sexual and reproductive health rights for adolescents and youth. Prior to her work with UNFPA, Ms. Islam was the Gender Specialist for the UNHCR Office of the Regional Director of the MENA Bureau, Amman, where she was part of a research team conducting a study on Syrian refugee mothers and children.

Jennifer Colville

Innovation Team Lead, Arab States, United Nations Development Programme Jennifer manages UNDP’s Innovation portfolio for the Arab States region, covering 18 countries from the Gulf to the Maghreb. She manages regional activities to introduce new and alternative approaches to development, such as big data, games for social change, behavioural insights, and alternative forms of financing.
